Here is an event that dads can enjoy – a kids’ virtual fishing derby. Grab a rod, get out to a lake, and make memories with a chance at a prize. Note: This event is not hosted nor associated with Howard County Dads; we just saw it and had to share.
How To Participate:
The concept is simple. Sign up at urbankidsfish.com. Print out their Digital Tackle Box certificate. Take your kids fishing. Share a photo of your kid holding the fish and the certificate to be entered in a raffle for prizes. The grand prize is $150.

Details about Urban Kids Fish
Urban Kids Fish (UKF) is the only traveling U.S. amateur fishing derby event serving inner-city youth of all racial and cultural backgrounds. There is usually an Urban Kids Fish Derby in Washington, DC, but all the events have turned virtual this year due to the pandemic.
